The Duchess of Sussex paid homage to her wedding by opting for the same designer earrings and a similar boat neck dress, as she posed for family pictures with her adorable son Archie following his christening in Windsor yesterday.

For the occasion, Meghan, 37, recycled the same pair of £12,000 Cartier earrings previously worn as she married Prince Harry at St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle in May 2018, when she walked down the aisle in a stunning custom-made £200,000 Givenchy gown.

The royal, who wore a bespoke Dior dress on Saturday, teamed it with the swirl studs, which are made from 18ct white gold and feature a main diamond surrounded by four small half moon-shaped clusters of smaller stones.

The earrings are part of Meghan's impressive Cartier collection, which include £60,000 drop earrings, £1,350 swirl earrings, a £17,700 Cartier Essential Lines bracelet and a £241,000 Cartier bracelet.

Speaking Femail, stylist Rochelle White highlighted the similarities between Meghan's christening and wedding look, revealing how the looks 'linked the two meaningful events together'.

We've been eagerly awaiting the arrival of Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor's christening and now we can finally pore over photos from the big day!

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared a portrait to their Instagram account, giving the world a sneak peek at the family members and fashion present for the ceremony. And while the Duchess of Cambridge recycled a beautiful Stella McCartney dress (one she's had since 2009!), Meghan opted for a sleek and chic gown by Dior.

Unsurprisingly, the dress features Meghan's go-to boat-neck cut! Her bridal gown had a similar neckline, along with many dresses she's worn since the big day. This one is also designed with a fit-and-flare silhouette and three-quarter sleeves.

This frock is a bespoke piece, although we've seen plenty of similar iterations of this frock march down the Dior runway. The stylish royal then finished off her look with Cartier earrings and Dior nude pumps.

If you're feeling inspired, why not give a nod to Meghan's look with the timeless and elegant options we've found from Gabriela Hearst, Ralph Lauren, Mango and more.

She explained: 'Meghan played homage to her wedding day with her earrings.

'The boatneck line, which resembles her wedding gown, seems to be a Meghan favourite and go to.

'It's a style that she knows suits her and something that she is comfortable in. I feel the christening was a moment for her to wear items that link the two events together in a subtle and meaningful way.'

She added: 'I think Meghan wanted something that wouldn't take the attention from Archie, but match and compliment his christening outfit.

'White is color that is perfect for Summer occasions and also very flattering on Meghan's skin tone.'

Speaking about Kate's choice, a pink Stella McCartney dress, which she is thought to have had since 2009 and last worn to the Queen's Christmas lunch in 2018, she added: 'It is nice to see Kate in something a bit brighter and shorter.

'It was formal enough for the occasion but had a more on-trend feel. Kate is very much seen as more conservative when it comes to fashion and I think because this wasn't such a formal occasion that she is used too, she could relax and take a bit more risk.'

On Saturday Meghan beamed as she posed for photographs alongside the royal family in two pictures they shared with their nine million followers on Instagram.

Meghan wore a gorgeous white scoop neck dress, with a three-quarter length sleeve for her son's christening.

Her frock for the day was a bespoke piece, however Meghan has been seen in numerous other items by Dior and seems to be a fan of white currently.

For Archie's christening Meghan pinned her hair back in a low bun and looked bronzed as she beamed for the camera while holding her son.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, pictured with baby Archie, have been determined to keep the event private and have not released information about their son's godparents

Meanwhile a smiling Prince Harry donned a light coloured suit and blue tie which complimented his wife's white dress and son's cream christening gown.

The royal couple have faced growing backlash surrounding the event, as they insisted it be kept private.

Senior royals including Prince Charles, Camilla, Prince William and Kate Middleton were among the 25 guests at the intimate ceremony.

The service took place in a tiny chapel inside Windsor Castle, with many of the guests arriving discreetly by a back entrance to the grounds.

The royal couple have refused to reveal who their son's godparents are despite billing the public £2.4million for renovations to Frogmore cottage.

A handful of royals fans gathered in Windsor for the event and, though excited, some suggested they have been left 'disappointed' that the public will not get to see any of the private ceremony or find out who has been chosen as godparents.

Mystery surrounded the private event, with the royal couple refusing to allow media into the event, and using a royal loophole to avoid telling public who had been chosen as godparents.

Several experts suggested it was a disappointing move, and would upset those who loved the couple the most.

Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine, suggested Prince Harry, 34, and Meghan Markle, 37, had 'really upset the people who loved them the most' with the move, telling the Daily Express they had 'misinterpreted the whole situation'.

Seward went on to reveal: 'The secrecy and evasiveness of the whole situation has been so mismanaged. It's a real shame.'

The date for Archie's christening had to be pushed back by two days, after his parents discovered that both the Queen and Prince Charles had prior engagements on the first date.

While the Queen has bowed out graciously in order to spend a long planned weekend with Prince Philip in Sandringham, after a family conference it was decided that the date should be moved to accommodate Prince Charles.

He was away in Wales on the previously planned date to celebrate 50 years of him being Prince of the country.

The royal photographer who  captured Archie's christening

Photographer and former soldier Chris Allerton will capture shots of Archie's christenin, having previous taken private photographs for Meghan and Harry.

Allerton is said to have formed a close bond with the couple, having taken private pictures during Archie's photocall as well as the royal wedding.

He is said to have developed his first roll of film at just eight years old and according to his website 'has been hooked on photography since'.

Allerton left the British Army in 2001 and went on to Lichfield Studios in Notting Hill.

It was here that he learnt the skills needed to master professional photography.  He now travels all over the world and has clients such as Harpers Bazaar, Tatler and broadsheet newspapers.

After taking photos at the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in May last year, Allerton posted his thanks to the couple.

He said: 'It was a great honour to be asked to photograph The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's wedding day in May. I am delighted that Their Highnesses chose this photograph for their Christmas card.'

Allerton had previous studies at the University of Reading, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Prior to that he attended the prestigious Stowe School in Buckinghamshire.

In 1992 he started his Army career and served there until 2001. During his time in the Army he worked for the Household Cavalry.

He was commissioned into The Life Guards, Household Cavalry, before serving in Bosnia in 1994 and Singapore and Argentina in 1995.

His last posting was in 1998 at the Adjutant New College at The Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst. He resigned commission in 2000.

In 2001 he started work as a photographic director for Photographic Records. He worked there for over two years.

He then decided to start his own company Allerton Photography, which has offices in both London and Wiltshire.

Although her majesty has not been able to attend all of her great-grandchildren's christenings, having missed Prince Louis's baptism last year, it is understood that she would have like to be present for Prince Harry's big celebration with his first child.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly shunned celebrities as godparents, instead turning to a close group of friends who played a key role at their wedding.

It has emerged in recent days that the couple are using a royal loophole to ensure baby Archie's godparents remain a secret.

Under Church of England rules, the details of all baptisms, including the baby's godparents, are a matter of public record and can be obtained easily for a small fee.

Royal sources have said that Meghan and Harry picked 'close and old friends' for the roles amid a backlash over the royal couple's refusal to identify them because they are 'private citizens'.

Kylie Jenner reveals she has been locked in her $5,000 Cartier Love bracelet - Daily Mail

Posted: 20 Jan 2016 12:00 AM PST

While most American teens her age are chained to student debt, poor Kylie Jenner is shackled, too — by a $5,000 Cartier bracelet that just won't come off her wrist.

The 18-year-old revealed on Snapchat yesterday that one of her many Love bracelets by the jewelry designer has been stuck on her wrist 'for, like, four years', and she can't seem to get it off.

In fact, she even headed to a Cartier store to enlist a security guard to try his hand and the bracelet's lock — and he seemed to struggle with it, too.

Uh-oh! One of Kylie Jenner's Cartier Love bracelet has been stuck on the reality star for 'like, four years' (pictured in June 2015)

In the quick video, Kylie is seen with her right arm resting on a Cartier counter next to can of Red Bull. A security guard is tinkering away with a screwdriver, trying to pry the bangle from her wrist.

'This bracelet has been stuck on for, like, four years, and no one at this store can get it off — not even the security,' she tells her friend behind the camera. She shakes her head and looks frustrated.

Cartier Love bracelets are locked shut with a screwdriver, as they were modeled off chastity belts. Interestingly for Kylie — whose boyfriend Tyga has lately been plagued by cheating rumors — hers seems forever closed tight

Of course, if she was truly distressed, Kylie could just have the $4,800 white gold bangle sawed off her wrist.

She has plenty more stashed away in her jewelry box to replace it, owning a collection worth about $30,000.

In all, Kylie has three 18k yellow gold and three 18k white gold versions of the bangle, which are sold for the bargain prices of $4,500 and $4,800, respectively, if bought without a screwdriver. She likely only bought one those.

Despite her trip to the store, though, Kylie doesn't actually seem to be in too much of a hurry to remove her haute handcuff.

Still stuck in there? The Snapchat video doesn't reveal whether the security guard finally managed to get the bracelet off

She certainly wasn't lying when she said the bangle had been on her wrist for years, and their are pictures to prove it.

Though she could be seen wearing other Cartier Love bracelets before 2013, one that she wore in 2011 and 2012 was yellow gold, and decorating her left wrist rather than her right.

By 2013, though, the white gold had become a permanent fixture on her right wrist, sometimes being stacked with all five of her other Love bracelets.
