GOVERNOR SERIAKE DICKSON DEFEATS APC'S TIMIPRE SYLVA TO WIN BAYELSA GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION

Current Governor of Bayelsa state, Seriake Dickson contesting under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has defeated the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Timpre Sylva.
Governor Seriake Dickson has been declared the duly elected Governor in the controversial Bayelsa State Governorship election.

Dickson polled 134,998 votes against Timpre Sylva's 86, 852 votes.

The Returning Officer of the election, Zana Akpagbu on behalf of the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) declared Seriake Dickson as the winner.

In all there were 225, 527 valid votes; 6, 647 rejected votes while total cast was 232,167 votes.
