Photographs of power tools found in a house in Paphos and believed to be the product of burglaries
and thefts, are released by the Police, with the aim of identifying them by their owners.
These include electric and petrol-powered tree-cutting machines and lawnmowers, cutting discs and
banks.

The power tools were spotted by members of the Police during a search operation carried out yesterday
Friday, September 11, at a house in Paphos. The operation involved members of the TAF and OPE
Paphos, as well as members of the Pegia and Stroubi police stations.
At the time of the operation, three persons, two men aged 26 and 36 and a woman aged 26, who did
not provide satisfactory explanations for the possession of the tools found and were arrested on the
basis of judicial warrants for the purpose of investigating a case of illegal possession of property.
The 26-year-old was also arrested on Court warrants after being wanted in connection with similar
investigations into cases of robbery, shoplifting and theft committed last August at a pharmacy and
grocery store in Paphos province.
The three suspects were taken to Paphos District Court on Saturday morning, which, at the request of
the Police, issued a six-day detention order against the 26-year-old and against the 36-year-old and the
26-year-old, a three-day detention order, for the purpose of investigating these cases.
The T.E.O. of Paphos and the Police Stations of Pegia and Stroubi continue the examinations.
