It's HOT, and dog owners like myself, need to take their dogs anywhere where water is provided. Often times it is at a park.
My "beef" is how angry these "dog haters" are to us kind people, who are just simply trying to keep their loved pets cool, and that means swimming with no leash.
Just yesterday I was at the park I frequent because Nila, my lovely Cavalier, can keep fresh, cool and have fun, too. Suddenly, an angry, and obviously upset man, took the time to give us hell for not having the dogs on leash.
Do you people have anything better to do than go out of your way to reprimand a number of dog owners cooling off their dogs? It is a park. We are in Yaletown where it is almost a ratio of 50:50 of dogs to humans. If you do not like dogs, which says a lot about a person, in my eye, then GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! Don't spit your venom at us. We are all having a good time with friends and our loved pets. No children in danger, in fact children having the times of their lives...for the moment.
I can't understand why people are so angry about leash less dogs? I can understand if you have a viscous, unpredictable pet, but these owners know, and they leash them.
So unhappy people, especially the lady who sits in front of AARM Dental(:( ),along the seawall, who, BTW, owns a dog, has something say. STOP! Shame on YOU!
We live in a community filled with dogs, who we consider family. If you can't handle it. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!
Everyone needs to get used to it and stop teaching your kids that dogs are scary, or bad. You are setting a false representation of our kind and friendly canine pals. Do you want your kids to be afraid of dogs for the rest of their lives?
Time to calm down and let us be with our family, because that's who these pets are to us...FAMILY.

YOU're IN YALETOWN! You just moved in...LEAVE, already. I see her come out of her home every once and awhile and you know when you can tell when someone is not a nice person? She has it. Always a puss on her face...sad times.
