Hi guys! Tonight I have the first of 2 parts from the Zoya Naturel 3 Collection. Every year Zoya releases a 6-piece "transitional" collection of cremes between the winter and spring collections, and it features neutrals or nude polishes. I like to just call these colors my palate cleansers. I, like others, am a huge fan of bright colors and glitters during the holiday season, so it's nice to have something a little different to make you appreciate those bright colors when you come back to them. How about we get to some swatches?
Zoya Cathy (2 coats)
I'll be the first to admit that my swatch of Cathy is not my best. I got a big paper cut on my middle finger at work and the polish I wore previously stained some skin around the nail. Eek! Cathy is a light nude creme with pink undertones. My skintone is yellow-based, but I don't find that Cathy clashes with me. What do you think? I used 2 coats for full opacity, and I found it best to use 1 thin coat followed by a thicker second second coat (with a few minutes between coats).
Zoya Debbie (2 coats)
Debbie is an interesting color. I found it to be a raisin-colored creme, but Zoya describes it as a plum brown color. I wasn't expecting to love this one as much as I do. It dries a shade darker than the bottle color, and applied well in just 2 coats.
Zoya Gina (2 coats)
And finally we have Gina which is a milk chocolate brown creme. I'm glad Zoya is expanding their line of "neutrals" to a wider range of skintones. It's a nice brown color, but I didn't find it very unique. It applied well in just 2 coats.
I'll give my recommendations after I finish reviewing the rest of the collection this week. Oh, and in case you didn't know, Zoya has an expanding line of lipsticks as well! Three new colors were released with the Naturel 3 Collection and I'll have swatches of those as well, so stay tuned. Zoya polishes retail for $10 and you can find out more about them on their website, Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram pages. Keep an eye out for them in your local Ulta store if you want to see the bottles in person before you buy.
