Do you ever wonder if you are losing it? I seriously question myself on a daily basis.
I'm used to the normal part of aging. I know you know what I am talking about. The part where you walk into a room and have no idea what you were in there for, or the part where you google something, get sidetracked, and then have no idea what you were originally googling.
Those things are extremely aggravating, but most of the time I remember if I really think about it or it just comes to me later.
There are other things that really drive me crazy. Last week I bought three pairs of reading glasses on Poshmark. They were only $9 for the three pairs, and I had free shipping because it was my fist purchase on there.
When they came I was very excited to see how cute they were and how well made. I picked out my favorite pair and wore them for a week. Sunday I decided to go to Aldi. I was desperately in need of some groceries, and as I hadn't been there for awhile decided to see what they had.
They always have non grocery items and often have something I have been looking for. Once I found a market cart for $9.99. When you live in a city apartment a market cart is a necessity to get your groceries from the car up to your apartment.
This trip was no different. I have been wanting a small fireproof safe for my closet to safeguard things like my passport and some cash I keep on hand. They happened to have one. It was the perfect size and only $22.
Hooray for me.
You are probably asking what this has to do with me losing it, but I am coming to that.
When I got home and put away my groceries I noticed that my glasses were gone. I know I had them when I checked out, but that is the last time I remember seeing them. I went back out and looked in the car, I triple checked my purse, and I looked in my bags.
NOPE, they were nowhere to be found, and of course I have no memory of what could have happened to them. I know they were only $3 but I really liked them and I can't believe I lost them after a week.
Now I am on pair number two. They are also very cute, but I need to keep them for longer than a week. Otherwise, they weren't such a great bargain.
Maybe losing things doesn't necessarily mean I am losing it. I'll get my grandchildren's opinion and then let you know.
